Les différents types de logos

Lors de la création d’une charte graphique et d’un site internet, la création d’un logo devient rapidement inévitable. Il existe plusieurs types de logos:

• Les logos vectoriels
  Les logos vectoriels sont réalisés à partir de vecteurs, de formules mathématiques leur permettant de s’agrandir à l’infini sans perte de qualité. La définition / résolution du logo ne pâtit pas de l’agrandissement de celui ci, car il ne comporte pas d’images pixelisées mais de lignes ou courbes calculées par la machine qui l’affiche.  Ils sont indispensables pour des entreprises ayant besoin d’imprimer ou d’afficher leur logo sur des surfaces très importantes (billboards, affichage urbain). C’est la catégorie la plus répandue de logo parmi les agences de communication print et web. Leur conception se fait à partir des logiciels vectoriels tel que AI (Adobe Illustrator).

 

• Les logos matriciels
  A la différence des logos vectoriels, les logos matriciels sont faits avec des pixels. Ils ont l’avantage de pouvoir intégrer des images / symboles extérieures mais ont le désavantage de perdre en résolution dès que l’on agrandit le logo. Cela n’est pas nécessairement une désavantage lorsque le logo n’est voué qu’à être utilisé sur le web ou des supports modérés en termes de dimensions.
